Before you can begin your exciting journey towards becoming a skilled driver, it is essential to have your provisional licence in hand. In the UK, you can apply for your provisional licence before you reach 17 years of age. This crucial document serves as your entry ticket to the world of driving, allowing you to start learning and practicing behind the wheel under the guidance of a qualified instructor.
Make sure to secure your provisional license early on.
When applying for your provisional licence you will be required to have the following items to hand.
Such as your passport or birth cerificate.
For the last 3 years.
If you know it.
Must be a clear image. Your passport photo maybe able to be used.
Your passport signature maybe able to be used, if your passport has one.
If you happen to change your address before obtaining your driver’s licensce, it is important to inform the DVLA promptly. They will assist you in updating your licence with your new address for a nominal fee. Keeping your licence information current ensures that you stay compliant with regulations and receive important correspondence without any delays.
