The practical driving test is for you to show an external examiner what you have learnt and to determine that you can drive safely without supervision on the roads.
This is a fairly straight forward test and takes around 40 minutes.
Here at David Sewell Driving School we will not suggest you take your practical test until we believe you are ready.
When taking your theory test you need the following:
You will have the option to have your instuctor in the car with you during your test.
Before you enter the vehicle, you will be required to read a number plate from a set distance to check your eyesight.
As part of the test, you'll need to demonstrate basic vehicle safety checks and indentify key components under the bonnet.
While driving, you must show that you can operate the vehicle safely and complete specific manoeuvres as instructed
A portion of the test will also assess your ability to follow directions safely using a satnav.
